An incredibly charming & funny friend of mine in college, had a knack for pulling out celebrity references in extremely awkward situations.
I believe it was a life size Hulk Hogan display that he somehow managed to break while in a convenience store. The employee, that looked like Carl Weathers, was apologized to as Action Jackson-and this somehow defused the situation.
Then there was the time when as I arrived to the hotel room in Panama City Beach, FL, my friends were already getting kicked out of. As the overweight, trying to look scary security guard, stood there brandishing a baseball bat, my friend decided breaking into Weird Al Yankoviks' "I'm Fat", the parody of Michael Jackson's "I'm Bad", was the perfect thing to do at that moment.
That is how the weekend began and it was all downhill from there:)
His charm and humor were apparently a forcefield to bodily harm.
