As a child of the '70's, the images the R.J. Reynolds Company drilled into our heads of the "oh so cool" Camel cigarettes, made you want to smoke the damn things. But as kids, a strong filterless cigarette was totally out of our kid league.
A highlight of my child was when we visited family in North Carolina and visited the R.J. Reynolds factory. They didn't give me any cigarettes but I did get a Hawaiian Punch t-shirt that I treasured dearly;)
They also gave me the memory of a giant camel, made out of what, you say? Tobacco...of course.
If they were staging a photo shoot for the Camel brand, this rug would set the stage perfectly. Note that although Joe the Camel was banned as a result of the obvious subliminal attempt to convert children into "young adults and adults that smoke", their tobacoo mojo didn't work on me. Non-smoker.
