Houdini, from Appletown, WI and Belushi, from Wheaton, IL, have probably crossed paths as Ghosts, watching over the terra of Wisconsin/Illinois.
I would like to think that as extreme characters and legendary performers and Belushi's love of drink & drugs, that they have been ghost barhopping together. As a native of Wisconsin, I can assure you there are almost as many bars as there are humans, so there would be no shortage of tavern signs to pull them in.
What a shame that these beer and brandy drinking tavern flies, can't see and hear what Belushi and Houdini are doing. They would be the most entertaining duo to meet in a bar-EVER.
Crazy part is Belushi almost played Houdini in a film called Ragtime. Which may have happened, had Belushi not decided that speedballing was part of his partying repertoire.
