Oushak: ü- shäk (ooh-shack)
Oushak rugs originated in the city of Usak, Turkey (a City in the Anatolian Region just South of Istanbul) during the 15th century, and are now made throughout the region from Pakistan to India.
Oushak carpets are distinctive in their designs (typically based on geometric motifs) and color palette, which is created using natural vegetable dyes.

CARE:
Shedding is normal and will diminish with regular vacuuming; Loose fibers are common, clip with scissors; Any creases in rugs should disappear in a few days; Keep away from excessive moisture; Blot spills immediately with sponge or cloth, don't rub; Professional cleaning recommended as needed; Rugs in direct sunlight will fade over time, rotate your rug; Indoor use only; Appropriate rug pad is highly recommended on all surfaces to prevent slipping.
When I came in to shop at Banana Manor, I knew it would be hard for me to find something I absolutely loved because I am very particular. I however, did end up loving this particular rug and its pattern, but the colors were not quite what I had imagined for my space. When I was told that I could have it made exactly how I'd wanted it, I was shocked. They shuffled out a suitcase full of these little colorful pom poms and told me to look through them and see what I liked. They were so beyond helpful, and gave me great advice when it came to color theory. Being able to create my own rug was one of the funnest things I've ever got to do! Thank you all for your help and for helping me to produce my one of a kind rug!
