Our Oushak rugs have a fascinating history, originating from Usak, Turkey in the 15th century and now made across the region from Pakistan to India. Their distinct designs feature geometric motifs and are made with natural vegetable dyes.
These rugs are hand-knotted using wool fiber, so shedding is normal and can be reduced with regular vacuuming. If you notice loose fibers, simply trim them with scissors. Any creases should disappear within a few days, and be sure to keep your rug away from excessive moisture. If spills happen, blot them with a sponge or cloth (avoid rubbing) and consider professional cleaning for any stains.
For long-lasting enjoyment, rotate your rug if it's in direct sunlight as it may fade over time. Remember: these rugs are for indoor use only and should be paired with an appropriate rug pad.
