From the Colgate Estate, this lovely antique Perisan gallery carpet is circa 1900-1910.
NW Persian HERIZ commissioned workshop weaving in near mint original condition with natural dyes. It displays an allover classic "Herati" motif design.
There are no other published examples of this type, size and design making it unique to the antique Persian carpet market.
If you are restoring & refurbishing a grand 19th century New Orleans home, with a classically wide and long foyer entrance way, this carpet would be the perfect choice.
An authentic antique (more than 100 years old) period furnishing carpet for such an area.
